About this manual

Clarity, consistency, and confidence in practice
“Policies anchor us, not to hold us back, but to steady us as we move forward.” — Brené Brown

What this manual covers

This manual sets out the standards, processes, and tools that guide our service. It ensures that practice is consistent, evidence-informed, family-centred, and compliant with child safe standards, NDIS, Medicare, and professional obligations.

It reflects both our culture — how our values are lived in daily practice — and our accountability — how those values are upheld through clear policies, supervision, and documentation.

Together, culture and accountability ensure our service is safe, sustainable, consistent, and aligned with the needs of children, families, and funders.

This manual applies to all members of the Trust Children and ReadyStepGrow teams, including:

  • Clinicians (speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, dietitians, and other allied health professionals)
  • Therapy assistants
  • Administrative staff
  • Contractors engaged by AAD Pty Ltd

How to Use this Manual

Each policy in this manual follows a consistent structure:

  • Purpose — why the policy exists and what it covers
  • Policy Statement — the service-wide commitment or expectation
  • Details — specific requirements for roles, processes, or documentation
  • Accountability — how responsibilities are upheld, reviewed, and supported across the team
  • How to Raise a Concern — clear steps for staff if they identify an issue with practice, safety, or policy application
  • Related Policies — cross-references to connected policies, showing how different parts of the manual link together
  • Document Control — version, creation date, review cycle, and owner, so that policies remain current and reliable

Document Control: v1.0 · Created: Aug 2025 · Review cycle: Annual (Jan 2026) · Owner: △△D Pty Ltd
